Building a community takes each person in the community to be present. A community is a network of people that each have their individual roles as well as equality. The value is placed in the people, rather than what the person can provide or cannot provide. We simply value each other because we are human.
To build a strong community people need to get acquainted with their neighbors, get acquainted with their city, promote local business and find ways to come together to help the community through weaknesses that are all shared as a group, as well as sharing strengths as a group. It is teamwork. If you feel your community is needing to get closer or reacquainted or work on some weaknesses, see how you can get involved with a group or start one of your own. It's very likely there are other people out there feeling similar to you.
