Humanitarianism
Minimalism is about getting back to the basics of human behavior. We all wish to have more love, compassion, consideration, friendliness and respect around us. We want better communication with each other, to hear and be heard. We often find ourselves looking to others to give us these things but naturally have a hard time seeing where we could each give more in these ways. We struggle with understanding how each of us leading by example and being what we wish to see in others actually IS what creates a better society. More of us could develop the integrity to behave in respectful ways, even when others are not, so that we can create a path for others to follow, instead of letting ourselves be led by behaviors we know only produce more conflict.
In our high stress culture and over dramatic mass media influence, its easy for emotions to fly. Our human interactions have become chaotic, complicated webs of miscommunications that have led many of us into isolation and fear. Everywhere we look there is conflict and people not getting along or not seeing eye to eye. The truth is, everybody wants a better society, but many of us are too afraid to step out and be the creators of that society.
Learning to be an effective leader in your own life, with your personal and business relationships will create fulfillment within you that will become contagious to others. Teaching others by your example helps others to have the courage to do so as well. This is being humanitarian.
