Ways To Get Involved

Many times we want to help with the things going on around us but we're still trying to figure out on our own stuff. A common misconception is that we have to figure it all out before we can help others. This is completely untrue. There are countless groups around the world that get together based on the common ground of not having it "together." Such as groups like Alcoholics Anonymous and the many groups that were born in the spirit of AA. I have talked to many people recently that have things they can't talk about to those they love. Family members, therapists, colleagues... they just don't know how to talk about the things they lock up inside. We all have those things. Most of the time we can't say it to someone we know because we are afraid of them shaming us or disappointing them or both. Other times the subject is just too difficult to express. I wanted to create a space for people to "talk" about these things online. To get it off their chest. To not have judgement and to have someone who will listen. This is very confirming for people to know someone has heard them and not judged them. That somehow, some way, everything will be okay in spite of this experience. I have am always exploding with ideas for things. I am often that person that is rattling off what other people could do with their projects while forgetting to put that same energy into my own. But I would love to work with other passionate individuals that like to create art, music, and media for change. My strengths are writing and researching but I also am working on voice, animé/manga style drawing, story writing, song seeds and lyrics, as well as other creative ideas.
